Wild Horses

Wild horses been roaming this land before any white person ever set a foot onto this land called British Columbia. Horses have a lot of Spanish blood in their system. Long time ago, the Spanish people first introduced horses in North and South America in 1500's. Also the gold rush had horses that roam the land all tame, but those horses got away or the peoples let him go and got into a wild spirit herds. The ranchers say the horses are pesks and animal that need to be under control because they say the horses are hard on the grazing lands. Also when we, Chilcotin people had to go to court because logging companies wanted to come into the Brittany Triangle and we were worried about the horses. When I see wild horses i see them in pain at times because of all the harsh world but they are happy when they are free and running wild. I say that the wild horses really complete our world.

Sense Of Belonging

In this school I feel like I do belong into this school with a lot of friends. I belong in this school because I do have a lot of friends that really care about me and I can get along with all the other boys and girls. I am related to all the boys and girls, so I can't really make enemies to all of my cousins. My daddy will get mad at me for being enemies to all my cousins because we are all related.
In my next scool, I would feel like an outsider because I wouldn't know all the kids in the school in Victoria. I don't know if I would fit in because i am going to be the only chilcotin indian and not a island indian like all the other natives that live there. Also I wouldn't know anyone because all my cousins will have to be in Williams Lake for shooling then really far from home.

It was very good about why people take drugs and drink alcohol. They only do that because the parents would hit them around and abuse them. They would keep all the troubles inside all bundled up. The first thing is that you can get help in your community by getting a counsellor. Also DRUGS are SO bad that it can age you very fast and also it can get you in bad situation sometimes. It can get you from your family all the time and sometimes your family won't want you back in their lives because it might give your siblings the wrong idea. Like if you had a kid when you were addicted to drugs your kid wouldn't want to be near you. Also you would've had a good life if you did not have friends with a bad attitude and did drugs and alcohol.

What Does My Family Means to Me?

My family means to me is that i get spoiled by my parents by getting two horses and getting more horses by my dad too. My dad is the best person in my life is because he gave me everything that i have success to now and i love how he helps me become success to barrelracing. He lets us learn our chilcotin cultre when we feel like it and we love to go fishing and he will bring all of us fishing sometimes. My dad will also bring us on vacations to the PBR or the NFR or the CFR.

My mom will buy me things that i won't ask for and also she will support me to do my best in rodeos. She will push me to do my best. I love my parents with all my heart because they will bring me successs all the time with what i love to do.
